Hello from the team
I have been involved in the fitness industry for 12 years.
I have worked as an educator, personal trainer, remedial massage therapist, exercise scientist, health consultant for corporate health within the industry.
I am all about empowering people with knowledge and understanding. Something that can not only present them with a problem but create solutions to change people's lives.
Positive, energetic and empathetic
Do a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.
This is a motto that has fueled my passion and to inspire others to find that same passion not only in their health but in their lives as well.
I began my heath and fitness journey a few years ago, when approaching the age of 40. Too much fun, too much food and not enough time paying attention to my health. It had all started to take a toll. I was left feeling life was slipping away from me, and I was in a never ending repeat of day after day of self hate and a lack of self worth. After beginning to dabble in a few different fitness activities, such as the local gym, crossfit, running, and not really knowing what to do, I discovered my very first 12 week challenge while watching tv (and eating a bag of chips with a sugary drink in hand). They said the entry for the challenge was closing within hours, and I felt like it was a sign! I went straight online, registered, stripped off and had a family member take my ‘before’ photos, and the path was set.
I completed the challenge 10kg lighter, 2 dress sizes smaller, and a passion that would never go away. From the start of this journey, I was able to complete another 3 challenges, (losing another 10kg and achieving the Top 50 of Australia in the challenge twice), and discovered the world of competitive body building. To further my knowledge, I also went on to complete my Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness and am a qualified Personal Trainer.
Now, I can continue to assist, help and support helping both friends, family and other like minded people in their own health and fitness journeys, as well as being a role model and setting an example for those who also want to change their lives. Being able to work every day towards a better, leaner and healthier me.
What are you made of...
We at Evolve Body Composition Specialists believe that we are at a crucial moment in changing peoples lives through building better and healthier lifestyles through education and information. Creating a more positive and uplifting environment, and experience for your local community, gym or workplace.
To better educate and support people in their journey to better health, we offer the use of state of the art body scanners, using the latest technology with the InBody570.
WHY GET A BODY COMPOSITION SCAN?
The most important thing to do when on a journey for physique and health improvement is to set a benchmark. A starting point where you know things are only going to improve from there. An Evolve scan does not lie. It does not sugar coat. It lets you know exactly where you're starting from to keep you accountable as you make changes based around the goals you or your coach have decided.
Test and re-test regularly. Doing so allows for the very best program to be implemented. It tells you when you are achieving your goals and how far along you are. If you have any problem areas or you're ready for some new goals. If you or your coach do not have data on your current strengths and weaknesses then they are just ‘guesstimating’ what is going to work best for you.
What is the InBody 570 and how does it work?
The InBody 570 composition analysers provide a detailed report outlining an individuals measurements in such things as but not limited to:
- Total skeletal muscle mass
- Total body fat in kilograms
- Total body fat percentage
- Visceral fat
- Total body water
- Segmental muscle and fat analysis
- Bone mineral content
- Basal Metabolic rate
We provide a detailed interpretation for every person who uses the scanner so they not only know what their body is made of but understand how all the parts relate to each other. This can be done several times a year so clients can continue to monitor their progress, and PT’s can use the results to add value to their business, and assist in setting goals for their clients.
